Dr. Kevin Asem is a member of the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM) and The International Federation of Sports Medicine (FIMS). In addition to the MSK Centre, Dr. Asem also works at the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine clinic in London, ON. His past sports coverage experience includes working as a team physician for Rowing Canada, NHL Rookies Tournament, Skate Canada National Championships, Special Olympics, 2015 Pan Am Games, consultant for Cirque du Soleil, and Chief Medical Officer for the World Sledge Hockey Challenge in 2011.
He is currently a team physician for Hockey Canada Women’s National Teams and Canada Soccer Men’s National team.
Growing up in Markham Ontario, Dr. Asem obtained his bachelor’s degree at York University, attended medical school at the University of Ottawa, and completed Western University’s family medicine residency program in London. He then went on to complete a fellowship and Sport & Exercise Medicine through the Fowler Kennedy Sport Medicine Clinic.
