Dr. Olivier Gauthier-Kwan is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in the treatment of foot and ankle injuries, deformities, and degenerative conditions, as well as hip and knee replacement.  He has a special interest in ankle replacement, arthroscopy and minimally-invasive (keyhole) surgery, as well as complex foot and ankle reconstruction.

Dr. Gauthier-Kwan grew up in Ottawa, Ontario and studied biochemistry and chemical engineering at the University of Ottawa. He obtained his medical degree in 2014 and completed his residency in orthopaedic surgery in 2019 at the University of Ottawa.  After residency, Dr. Gauthier-Kwan travelled to Adelaide, Australia, to complete a fellowship in foot and ankle surgery, followed by a fellowship in orthopaedic trauma surgery.  He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the McMaster University School of Medicine.

Dr. Olivier Gauthier-Kwan is fluent in English and French, and can speak Spanish and Cantonese.
