Dr. Peter Keizer is a Sports Medicine physician at the MSK Centre with a GP Focused Practice designation in Sport and Exercise Medicine. He is a member of the Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine (CASEM).
In addition to the MSK Centre, Dr. Keizer works as a full-time Emergency Room Physician at Grand River Hospital and St. Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. He is certified in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Sports Medicine.
In the past, Dr. Peter Keizer provided team coverage for various sports teams including ice hockey, baseball, and softball. His sport medicine skills combined with his emergency medicine skills enabled him to be a successful team physician.
Dr. Keizer is an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University. He is involved in teaching medical residents and medical students.
Dr. Peter Keizer has special interest in bedside ultrasonography. He is a member of the Canadian Point of Care Ultrasound Society (CPOCUS) with a Master Instructor (MI) status. He teaches bedside ultrasonography at the EDE Bootcamp Course in Brantford, Ontario.
