Orthotics Services
At MSK, we use custom and over-the-counter orthotics to relieve pain and discomfort associated with a variety of medical conditions related to the feet and lower extremities.
What are Orthotics?
Orthotics are supports for the feet designed to counteract the biomechanical inadequacies of your feet and legs, allowing medical professionals to correct foot and ankle problems without more invasive procedures like surgery.
A complete gait and biomechanical assessment of the foot is performed by an experienced clinician. Based on this assessment a treatment plan and appropriate orthotic supports may be recommended.
Orthotics treatment at MSK may begin with over-the-counter orthotics and progress to custom orthotics if the diagnosis and symptoms require it.
